Trevor & Kat’s Wedding at Lake Oak Meadows

Any couple that starts our first meeting off by telling me that I inspire them, surely takes my vote for favorite client.  And after a couple more meetings with Trevor & Kat I knew that they were exactly my favorite kind of people.  Trevor & Kat met at Chapman University where Kat was a star volley ball player, until she injured her wrist.  During her rehabilitation process Kat met Trevor & although they hit it off right away, they were slow to jump into a relationship.  Instead they became friends… but as it happens so many times, the friend thing didn’t last long & these two finally confessed their feelings to each other.

When planning their wedding, Trevor & Kat had 2 ideas… Trevor liked the idea of a beach wedding, whereas Kat really wanted a rustic ranch wedding, so they made the right decision & went with Kat’s idea (but don’t worry, they also decided to do a trash the dress at the beach, so Trevor could have his idea implemented too!)!  The week before the wedding we all noticed that there was a strong chance of rain in the forecast, this definitely effected the day as Trevor & Kat’s venue is an all outdoor venue!  Luckily they were able to get tents to cover the main areas & then we all just prayed that we would get some breaks in the rain for outdoor photos!

We were so lucky that it didn’t rain the entire time we took Kat & the bridesmaids’ photos… but just as we were finishing up the skies opened up!

Sometimes rain on your day just means that you have the opportunity to take some awesome shots!  And this is now my new favorite Groomsmen shot!

By the time the ceremony started it was really raining!

We ended up getting a small break in the rain for a few last shots outside before the storm got completely out of hand!

Regardless of the weather or the rain, these two had a wonderfully fun & beautiful wedding… and we loved every moment of it!
